SHOW PHYSICIAN ATTESTATION RULE
Printing Interim Orders with Electronic Physician Signatures
When you print physician orders that are being electronically signed by physicians, the “Attending Physician’s Signature and Date Signed” section on the form will include the following statement as part of their signature: “Electronically Signed by”.
To have this statement appear on all printed orders for both your initial orders for the certification period as well as any interim orders, the following rule must be activated for your agency: “Show Physician Attestation”.
To activate this rule, use the following path:
- Settings menu
- Org/Region/Agency option
- Select an Agency (3rd level in the 3-tier directory at the left)
- Select the Rules tab
- Select the “Add Agency Rule” icon for the rule that reads: Show Physician Attestation
- Enter a “Start Date”
- Select the “Save” button
Additionally, the statement will only print on the form if the electronic physician signature exists. You have several different options to print physician orders. They include:
- Printing from the Patient Encounter, Orders tab
- Printing from the Patients menu, View/Print Orders option
- Printing from the Reports menu, Orders Report option
