SERVICE NOTES - DO NOT ALLOW SERVICE CODE CHANGE RULE

Rule to Manage Associate Scheduling will not allow the caregiver to change the Service Code/Description when adding a new service note. You use this rule if you require your clinicians to contact the office if there is any change in the type of service being documented (i.e., scheduled service assigned to an RN and needs to be reassigned to an LPN/LVN; routine visit scheduled and should now be assigned to an assessment visit).  To activate this rule, use the following path:

  • Settings menu

  • Org/Region/Agency option

  • Select the agency (listed 3rd in the tier at the left)

  • Select the Rules tab

  • Select the “Add Agency Rule” icon for the rule that reads: “Service Notes – do not allow service code change”

  • Enter a start date

  • Select the Save button

NOTE:  When you activate this rule, all your caregivers will have to call the office to have the service code/description changed on the Patient’s schedule, which will then update their own Associate schedule. This must be done prior to adding the Service Note.
