RN SIGNATURE REQUIRED ON CERTAIN ORDERS
When an LPN obtains changes to orders from a physician that occur during a certification period, they require both the LPN and RN signature. To use this feature, you must activate the Agency rule, “RN signature required on certain orders” using the following path:

Org/Region/Agency option

Select the Agency from the list at the left (3rd tier)

Select the “Rules” tab

Select the “RN signature required on certain orders" Add icon

Enter a Start Date on the “Add Agency Rule” pop-up

Select the SAVE button
When an LPN enters an orders, the “RN Signature” link will display below their name. Before the order can be approved, an RN must sign in to the application, access the order, select this link and sign the order. If the RN has security permissions to approve the order, the RN can also select the APPROVE button to prepare the order for distribution to the physician.
