DEFAULT FACE TO RACE UNKNOWN

You can now “bypass” the Work Basket edit when you select “unknown” as an option for a patient’s or associate’s “Race” category.  To bypass this edit, you must activate an agency rule, using the following path:

• Settings menu
• Org/Region/Agency option
• Select an Agency (listed as the 3^rd tier in the Directory tree at the left)
• Select the Rules tab
• Select the “Add Agency Rule” icon to activate the rule that reads: “Default Race to Race Unknown”

• Enter a date you want to start this rule
• Select the  Save  button

NOTE:  You do not want to use this rule if you are not able to report “unknown” as a “Race” category for statistical purposes for any federal, state or contractual program.
