This action item allows you to change the certification that the oasis is attached to.  You can change the certification information that is attached to an OASIS record under the following circumstances:

OASIS Time Point number is:

• 3–Resumption of Care Assessment
• 4 – Recert Assessment
• 5–Follow-Up Assessment
• 6–Transfer to a Facility
• 7–Transfer/Discharge
• 8–Death
• 9–Discharge from Agency

Your security role allows you to approve/lock the OASIS record.  The following edits will prevent you from changing the certification dates if:

• Assessment already exists for SOC or Recert certification period.
  • Error message: “New Certification has a Time Point 01 (SOC) or 04 (Recert) already”
• M0090 date for ROC OR Recert is less than the new certification “from” date (will not perform this edit if M0090 is blank)
  • Error message: “Assessment date for Recert can not be more than 6 days prior to the new Certification ‘From’ date”
• M0090 date for F/U, Tx, Death OR Discharge is less than the new certification “from” date (will not perform this edit if M0090 is blank)
  • Error message: “Assessment Date for this Time Point can not be before the new Certification ‘From’ date”
