PATIENT ENCOUNTER PAYER PAY RATES TAB

 

You can assign specific pay rates to a payer that you attach to a Patient Encounter record. This option will allow you to better control pay rates for patients that have unique requirements for billing services. In some situations, the payer may instruct to bill at a specific rate and pay at a specific rate based on patient’s diagnosis, condition and need for service as well as the type of service you are providing. You may also be negotiating bill rates with a specific private patient that will require you to change the associate's pay rates so that you can meet your specific profit margin and still may be able to accommodate the patient’s need for service.

ADD PAY RATE  (Top)

To add a Pay Rate, click on the "Add Pay Rate" link.

Enter the specific pay rates and click "Save" when you are finished. "Allow Override" allows you to override a pay rate when you are verifying the visits. 

This will bring you back to the "Select Pay Type" screen where you can add pay rates for other disciplines. If you have finished adding the disciplines you needed, click "Cancel". 

EDIT PAY RATE  (Top)

To edit a Pay Rate, click on the "Edit" pencil.

Make the necessary changes and click "Save" when you are finished. 

DELETE PAY RATE  (Top)

To delete a pay rate, click on the "Trash Can".

You will be asked if you are sure you want to delete.  Click "OK" to confirm.

You can also filter the Pay Rates by Type.
