APPLY CO-SIGN SIGNATURE
Under certain circumstances, it may be necessary to have another individual co-sign a non-OASIS Service Note. This could include RN’s signing LPN Service Notes as well as Therapists co-signing Therapy Assistant Service Notes. This feature/function appears on the Patient Encounter Service Notes tab and is only available for Service Notes that do not contain OASIS information. The service note must be in a “Complete” or “Approved” status in order to Co-sign. If a service note is marked incomplete, the co-signature is automatically removed. The individual co-signing a Service Note must be in the same discipline category as the individual that completed the Service Note (i.e., RN to sign RN,LP/VN; PT signing PT or PTA, etc.). To co-sign a service note, click on the drop down to the right of the service note and choose "Apply Co-Sign Signature".
